The Green Home Tour is an annual event hosted by the Colorado Green Building Guild. The tour highlights some of our most innovative green building projects and helps to promote the collaborative exchange of ideas on green building in the community.

You receive links to the digital tour guide along with your ticket in your email confirmation from Humanitix (our ticketing system). If you’ve bought a ticket and are having trouble finding the links to the guide: find an email starting with the subject “Order confirmation for CGBG 2025 Green Home Tour…”, and scroll down past the ticket section to the section titled “YOUR GUIDE TO THE CGBG GREEN HOME TOUR”. Families with children are welcome on the tour. However, children 2 and under should be held or in a carrier. Strollers are not allowed in the homes. Children 12+ will require a ticket. Please supervise children closely.

No. Restrooms in the homes will not be available for use. We recommend building in stops at cafes or shops nearby to take bathrooms breaks.

Because these are private homes, we do not advertise the locations or specific details until the tour. You will receive a booklet with addresses the day before the event so you can plan your adventure.
All the homes this year are located in Boulder County.

While there is not a limited amount of time at each house, we do ask that you be mindful of your time in each home to ensure that as many visitors as possible will be able to tour the home.

We'd love to have your home on the next tour! Keep an eye out for the intake application in summer of 2026. You can also email admin@cgbg.org with information about your home so we can reach out for the 2026 tour.

Yes! If you are interested in helping plan the tour (organizing sponsors, coordinating the venue, promoting and advertising, communicating with homeowners, etc.) please reach out to admin@cgbg.org and we can connect you with the Green Home Tour committee.
We also need volunteers on the day of! Volunteers day-of will have the opportunity to see homes on the tour for half the day for free, and help staff a house during the other half. -
The tour is one day only! Since the tour is self-guided, you can pick which ones you want to see and plan accordingly.

Nope! This is a self-guided tour, and you are welcome to go to each one in an order that works best for you!

No, anyone can purchase a ticket to attend the event regardless of membership status. Get yours HERE.

Homes are typically near the Boulder, Colorado area.
In 2023 there were homes in Nederland, Louisville, Boulder and 4 Mile Canyon. In 2024 homes were in the Boulder, Louisville and Lafayette area.
This year homes are located in Boulder, Lafayette, and near Longmont.
